    Eligibility

    For 2021 Power Connect beneficiaries, Category 1 (Aged 65 or above either Elderly Singleton(s) or Elderly Doubletons), Category 2 (Low-Income Earners) and Category 3 (The Disabled) receives overwhelming response, the applications of Category 1 - 3 is ended on 30 July 2021.

    The application period for Category 4 (Subdivided Units Household) will remain unchanged (3 May 2021 to 30 September 2021)

     

    This year, the CLP Power Connect programme will continue to encourage residential customers to save energy and provide electricity subsidies of HK$500 each to 40,000 underprivileged households referred by Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including elderly, low-income families, and disabled. 

    Meanwhile, CLP will continue to offer a HK$600 electricity subsidy each to 10,000 subdivided unit tenants to relieve their burden of daily spending. 

    All beneficiaries must be nominated by NGOs. If you belong to one of the categories below, please contact the relevant NGO directly.
    For application of Aged 65 or above either Elderly Singleton(s) or Elderly Doubletons,  low-income earners, and the disable is ended, we would like to extend my special thanks to all NGOs for their unfailing support and assistance.

    Beneficiary must be nominated by Power Connect partnered Non-Governmental Organisation(NGOs).

     

    Category 1 - Aged 65 or above either Elderly Singleton(s) or Elderly Doubletons 
    Beneficiary who aged 65 or above and receiving “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme” or “Higher Old Age Living Allowance” or “Normal Old Age Living Allowance” .

    Category 2 - Low-Income Earners
    Beneficiary who receiving “Working Family Allowance  (WFA) Scheme” or “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme” or “Full Grant of The School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme” or Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission (KCFRS) Scheme.

    Category 3 - The Disabled 
    Beneficiary who receiving “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” or “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme with Transport Supplement” or “Social Security Allowance (SSA) Scheme with Disability Allowance. 

    Category 4 - Subdivided Units Household
    Beneficiary must be living in a subdivided unit* in adverse conditions (*Subdivided Units Household) located in a building with CLP electricity supply and no individual CLP electricity account is created.

      Rewiring Works for Subdivided Units

      CLP Power Connect Support for Subdivided Units Household Scheme offers subsidies for the landlords of subdivided units to carry out rewiring works needed for the installation of individual electricity meters to improve home safety and the living conditions of subdivided unit tenants.
