• Beneficiaries

    Eligibility

    CLP Power has earmarked HK$50 million in electricity subsidies through the CLP Power Connect Beneficiary Programme in 2022 for 50,000 eligible households, including elderly people, low-income people, disabled people, and tenants of subdivided units. A one-off extra subsidy on top of normal subsidies will be given to each household, meaning they will each receive a total of HK$1,000 in electricity subsidies to relieve their burden of daily spending.

     

    Beneficiary must be nominated by Power Connect partnered Non-Governmental Organisation(NGOs).

     

    Category 1 - Aged 65 or above either Elderly Singleton(s) or Elderly Doubletons 
    Beneficiary who aged 65 or above and receiving “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme” or “Higher Old Age Living Allowance” or “Normal Old Age Living Allowance” .

    Category 2 - Low-Income Earners
    Beneficiary who receiving “Working Family Allowance  (WFA) Scheme” or “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme” or “Full Grant of The School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme” or “Full Grant of Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission (KCFRS) Scheme” .

    Category 3 - The Disabled 
    Beneficiary who receiving “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” or “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme with Transport Supplement” or “Social Security Allowance (SSA) Scheme with Disability Allowance. 

    Category 4 - Subdivided Units Household
    Beneficiary must be living in a subdivided unit* in adverse conditions (*Subdivided Units Household) located in a building with CLP electricity supply and no individual CLP electricity account is created.

      Rewiring Works for Subdivided Units

      CLP Power Connect Support for Subdivided Units Household Scheme offers subsidies for the landlords of subdivided units to carry out rewiring works needed for the installation of individual electricity meters to improve home safety and the living conditions of subdivided unit tenants.
